The 9th Annual Bayou Home Show and Cannata’s Festival of Food returns to the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center on March 3-4, 2018. We recently asked event promoter Tony D’Eramo a few questions to preview this event.
How has the show evolved year to year?
The show has grown into a great community event that people are excited for each year. Over the years we have had more organizations join us: The Home Builders Association, Bayou Board of Realtors and sponsor Cannata’s. The show has grown every year since its inception, in attendance and in vendors.
What are some highlights about this year’s show?
Cannata’s Festival of Food will be sampling all of the latest and greatest from their stores. Brands from Cannata’s shelves will be on display. At the show you can receive coupons and samples from all of your favorite brands such as Coca-cola, Community Coffee, Zatarains and many others.
The latest trends in bathroom and kitchen cabinets will be on display throughout the show. As always the show is a one stop shop to turn your house into your dream home.
Can you give any tips for someone looking to renovate or invest their home?
My personal tip is to make sure you get a few different quotes and talk to whomever is going to be doing your home renovations. You can really get a feel for someone and learn a lot by talking with them and asking questions. If you don’t like the answers you can move on to the next business. That’s one reason why a home show is a great place to go, you can get it all done in one trip as opposed to weeks of back and forth.
