Terrebonne Patriots to host annual Houma Independence Celebration on June 30

The Terrebonne Patriots will be hosting the Houma Independence Celebration at the Houma-Terrebonne Civic Center for its 10th year. The event is scheduled for Saturday, June 30 starting at 3:00 p.m.

What activities and entertainment can attendees enjoy during the event?

Attendees will enjoy craft booths, great food and children’s activities by Kids in Motion.

There will also be entertainment by “Pepper Jelly” & Terrebonne Community Band. A memorial will be held at 6:00 p.m. and the event ends with a firework show starting at 9:30 p.m.

Who are the Terrebonne Patriots, Inc. and what does the organization do throughout the year?

Terrebonne Patriots is a nonprofit organization that honors military and service personnel

They put on two events each year. The Independence Celebration that is normally scheduled Saturday prior to Fourth of July and the Wounded Warrior / TPI Fishing weekend that is normally scheduled in the month of May.

Are there admission cost and what items are allowed on the event grounds?

The event is open to the public and admission and food is free! This is an alcohol-free event. No ice chest or alcohol will be allowed on the grounds during the event. This is strictly enforced.
