Nestled Amon the moss-covered oaks, historic plantation homes, and cypress bayous of South Louisiana, the Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center is an ideal destination for your convention or conference. Some features inside the 100,000 square foot facility include:
- Two exhibit halls for trade booths, formal dining and general sessions.
- Five meeting rooms for breakout sessions. Rooms can be combined.
- Spacious lobby ideal for registration and vendors.
- Covered front and rear loading area for ease of access.
Concerts & Theater
The Civic Center has hosted performances from national touring artists, Broadway shows, and family shows such as Disney Live! Whether is a large or more intimate crowed you’re looking to attract, this multipurpose facility can transform into the layout that best accommodates your show needs.
Arena layouts include a theater configuration, half-house setup, or an end stage setup for up to 4000 attendees. (39,000 sq.ft.)
- Lobby is specious and versatile, designed for concession, merchandise sales, and the comfort of patrons. (7,000 sq.ft.)
- Meeting & Banquet Rooms can be configured for smaller productions. (10,000 sq.ft.)
Box Office is a full-service Ticketmaster® outlet.
Backstage equipped with private stating area and six dressing rooms – four large and two star each having restroom and shower facilities.
Meetings & Trainings
The Civic Center Meeting Rooms and Exhibit Halls can be configured to accommodate your next meeting, training, seminar, holiday party, or employee event.
- Meeting Rooms can be divided to fit the size of your event. The five rooms are dividable to accommodate both large and small gatherings. Each room features adjustable lighting and a/c controls to suit your event needs. (10,000 sq.ft.)
Two Exhibit Halls are available for larger meeting and events. (39,000 sq.ft.)
Choose from a list of approved caterers with diverse offerings for your food and beverage needs.
- There are more than a dozen local hotels within a few miles of the facility including one adjacent to the property, that can provide top-notch accommodations and amenities for your group and guests.
Outdoor Events
The Civic Center parking lots have hosted events including festivals, fairs, fundraisers, road races, tent circuses, car shows, and corporate events.
Parking lots are paved, lighted and can accommodate up to 1,600 vehicles.
Parking lot C is equipped with utility pedestals that can support approximately 200 recreational vehicles. Pedestals include complete access to water and 30/50 amp electricity. Sewage dumping stations available.
Sporting Events
Your destination for indoor sports on the bayou! The Civic Center arena is 39,000 sq. ft. with fixed retractable seating for over 3,200 people. Additional end zone and floor seating available if your setup allows. The arena comes equipped with high beam sport lights and basketball scoreboards on either side. Fans have seen a variety of sports at the Civic Center including collegiate and high school basketball and volleyball, championship bull riding, boxing, and MMA competitions.
Multipurpose sport court, basketball court and sports equipment (including basketball goals, volleyball nets) can be added to rental.

Meeting rooms can be used for team meeting space and tournament offices. (10,000 sq.ft.)

Private staging area and six dressing rooms (four team and two “star” rooms for privacy) each having restroom and shower facilities.
- 302,000 sq.ft. of lighted, paved parking which can accommodate up to 1600 vehicles.
Trade Shows
The Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center its the largest event center in Louisiana’s Bayou Country! The venue includes a major exhibit hall, meeting rooms, a spacious lobby, covered entry and rear access for vendors, and plenty of free parking for vendors and guests.
The Civic Center Arena/Exhibit Halls encompasses 39,000 sq.ft. of unobstructed floor space and can accommodate up to 188 (10×10′) booths depending on the setup. For smaller expos, the is dividable into two separate exhibit halls. The halls are equipped with 24-100 amp floor boxes with additional power panel boxes available for distribution. Water service and a drain. are also provided by each floor box.
Meeting Rooms for additional exhibit space can be divided up to five individual rooms (10,000 sq.ft.)
Lobby is specious and versatile for concession and additional vendor displays. there is easy access to restrooms and an ATM. (7,000 sq.ft.)

Private Special Events

Weddings & Receptions
The Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center provides an exceptional setting for your wedding and reception.
- Banquet and meeting rooms are located adjacent to the main arena. This 10,000 sq.ft. space can be adjusted into as many as five separate rooms. The elegant decor is adorned unnatural colors, tray ceilings with chandeliers, recessed lighting, and crown molding over a terrazzo tile floor. Tables and banquet chairs are included as part of the normal setup.
Property includes plenty of paved, lighted parking lots, a large covered entryway, and an outdoor digital marquee displaying he couple’s name.
- Conveniently located near lodging to accommodate your out of town guests. RV spaces available in the parking lot.
