Rental Rates, Fees & Conditions
Arena Configuration
HALL A and HALL B Public ticketed events where admission is charged: $2,735 base rental fee against 10% of gross proceeds after taxes, whichever figure is greater, computed per day, plus a $550 set-up fee.
All other events with no admission charge: $2,735 base rental fee per day plus a $550 setup fee.
Noncommercial rental rates for noncommercial groups: The noncommercial rate is seventy-five (75%) percent of the base rental fee only and applies to Hall A, Hall B, and/or the parking lot areas only. This rate is offered to organizations based in Terrebonne Parish ONLY.
Theater Configuration (Use of theater grid system)
HALL B Public ticketed events where admission is charged: $1,650 base rental fee against 10% of gross proceeds after taxes, whichever figure is greater, computed per day, plus a $340 set-up fee.
All other events with no admission charge: $1,650 base rental fee per day, plus a $340 setup fee.
Noncommercial rental rates for noncommercial groups: The noncommercial rate is seventy-five (75%) percent of the base rental fee only and applies to Hall A, Hall B, and/or the parking lot areas only. This rate is offered to organizations based in Terrebonne Parish ONLY.
Half Arena Configuration
HALL A or B (HALF ARENA) Base rental price: $ 1,650 per day, plus a $340 setup fee.
Noncommercial rental rates for noncommercial groups: The noncommercial rate is seventy-five (75%) percent of the base rental fee only and applies to Hall A, Hall B, and/or the parking lot areas only. This rate is offered to organizations based in Terrebonne Parish ONLY.
Floor Only Configuration
Events that require no equipment or inventory and only an empty floor space will incur a reduced rent and setup charge of the following:
HALL A and HALL B Base rental price: $2,640 per day plus a $250 setup fee.
HALL A Base rental price: $ 1,330 per day, plus a $150 setup fee.
HALL B Base rental price: $ 1,520 per day, plus a $150 setup fee.

Lobby Concourse
Rental rates may be charged when the lobby is used as an event space.

Parking Lot
Rental rates may be charged when the parking lot space is specifically used as event space, excluding event parking.
Lot A (Bayouside/Skatepark) 359 parking spaces (102,030 sq. ft.) $765 per day
Lot B (Front) 160 parking spaces (48,706 sq. ft.) $400 per day
Lot C (Side Lot with RV Pedestals) 1,122 parking spaces (329,887 sq. ft.) $2,270 per day (Lot C may be rented on a half-lot basis at one-half of base rent)

Additional Rental Information
All rental fees shall be paid in full thirty (30) days prior to the scheduled event, or at the time of booking, whichever occurs later. Events are not considered booked without a signed contract and a deposit of half (1/2) or, on some occasions, full payment for the room rental.
The rental rates above include normal lighting, temperature control, standard set-up, event coordination, all tables and chairs, and reasonable janitorial cleanup and teardown. Rates do not include specialized staffing, equipment, box-office services, advertising, catering, or special services requested or required.
Move-in days, Move-out days, Rehearsals. These rates are half the base rent per day and apply only during 8 AM-5 PM on weekdays. Move-in/out activities outside of normal business hours shall require approval from the Director of the Quality of Life Department, and the renter shall pay overtime rates per employee. Please note that move-in days are not discounted.
You will need to contract decorating services from an outside vendor, if applicable. You will also need to contract with an outside vendor for any production services, i.e., audio/sound and stage lighting, associated with your event, if applicable. All other building equipment or soft goods may be rented at an additional charge. A complete list of equipment rental charges, full rental rates, terms and conditions, and technical specs can be found on our website or provided upon request.
Ticketed events. Tickets would be sold through the Ticketsauce mobile ticketing system. The following charges would apply: a 3% fee on gross Box Office receipts, charged to the promoter at settlement.
$2 facility maintenance fee added to the price of each ticket sold for your event, which is retained by the Civic Center.
4% fee charged to the promoter at settlement for all credit card sales for tickets purchased through the Civic Center’s Box Office.
Please note that additional equipment or miscellaneous expenses may apply as event details become available.
Other Rental Terms
Event Security. Event security will be provided by the Houma Police and/or Houma Fire Departments, as required for your event. The rate for security details is $45/hour/officer, with a 4-hour minimum. At least 2 officers are required when Houma Police officers are required. Event security fees are due at the same time as rental fees.
Food & Beverage Service. All food, beverages, and alcohol catering is exclusive through your choice of one of our approved caterers. An approved caterers list with contact information can be found in the CATERING section of the website. If your event has concession needs, the Civic Center’s in-house concessionaire can provide you with fixed or portable concessions.
Insurance. Per our Risk Management Department, insurance with $1 million in General Liability coverage (or $500,000 for meeting rooms only) is required for use of the facility on event days and any load-in/out days. Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government must also be listed as Certificate Holder and Additional Insured. The Civic Center must have this certificate no later than two (2) weeks before your event date. If ALCOHOL is present at your event, you need to provide Host Liquor Liability.
If your event includes public ticket sales/admission fees, you may need to obtain a Special Event Occupational License from the Sales & Use Tax Department at a cost to you. Please contact this department at 985-876-3734 for additional information.
One of our special features is our paved parking lot, capable of accommodating over 1,600 vehicles, and our RV pedestals, which provide electricity and water to guests. We also have 8 dump stations conveniently located on site. There is a $30-per-day RV hookup charge for guests who would like to use these services.

Conditions of Rental
Time used from 8:00 a.m.-12:00 midnight or any fraction thereof shall be defined as a usage period. Time used after contracted limits without prior understanding between the Facility and the User shall be charged as follows:
Hall A AND B $500 per hour plus staffing and service fees
Hall A OR B $250 per hour plus staffing and service fees
Meeting Rooms $50 per room per hour plus staffing and service fees
The Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center reserves the right to allocate rental space in the best overall interest of the Center. The following considerations serve as guidelines for the leasing of available inventory.
- Potential event revenue to the facility
- Economic impact of out-of-town visitor spending
- Volume accounts, including the opportunity for repeat bookings
- Events of significant prominence which would enhance the visibility of Terrebonne Parish and the Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center.
- Event or producer performance history
- Safety or security concerns
If deemed in the best interest of the facility, the Director may grant limited date protection to clients to avoid competing events from being held within an adjacent or conflicting time frame. The determination of whether or not an event is a “competing event” shall be within the discretion of the Director, and shall be based on factors such as overlapping exhibitor or attendee audiences.
The Director reserves the right to refuse a new reservation, or release an existing reservation, based upon past performance of the user, or actions which are detrimental to the best interest of the facility, or violate facility policies and procedures.
For new or non-established facility users, the facility may require references from prior venues as part of the booking process.
No Authorized User Facility Agreements will be issued for ticketed events within a 60 day period prior to the event day.
Promoters of such events must provide a specific list of artists or entertainers at the time of booking. Any substitution of performers without written approval from the Director may result in the cancellation of the event, and the forfeiture of rental payments.
Cancellation
USER must submit written notice of cancellation to the Barry P. Bovillain Civic Center in conjunction with the cancellation of any date or dates covered by this agreement. If USER cancels event within 180 days prior to date under this agreement in Hall A and/or B and/or parking lot and within 90 days for Meeting Room Wing events under this agreement, USER shall be responsible for all loss of rental fees with ancillary income and/or fees scheduled to be received by the Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center in connection with such event.

Rates do not include staffing, equipment, box office, advertising, catering, or special services requested or required. Contact the Event Services Department for more information on these services.
The rental fees listed throughout this document are further supplemented by a list of service charges and equipment fees (subject to change) which are available from the Event Services Department. Estimates for special labor requirements, stagehand labor and production needs are available upon request.
General Conditions
All use of the Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center shall be permitted only after proper execution of the rental/lease contract (Authorized User Contract Agreement). The Lessee is required to furnish, in an acceptable manner, any information requested by Civic Center management as to required facilities, special arrangements, special services, and equipment required for the appropriate presentation of the event in question.
A deposit of not less than 50% of total rental fees will be due upon the execution of an Authorized User Contract Agreement. Deposits requested with any lease agreement shall be remitted at the time and in the form as prescribed by Civic Center Management, and in the event of non-payment of said required deposits, or expiration of those dates originally determined for execution of an agreement, the Civic Center management may consider such tentative agreements invalid, thus vacating the originally requested date.
Security staffing for such events will be determined at the time of booking. The event organizer will be financially responsible for ensuring that minimum staffing levels necessary to provide a safe patron environment are maintained. Full payment of anticipated security costs will be no later than two weeks prior to the event day. Failure to meet this deadline may result in the cancellation of the event and the forfeiture of rental payments.
An Authorized User Contract Agreement must be fully executed, and rental deposit must be received by the Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center prior to marketing/advertising of the event.
Detailed information as to normal rental procedures and other aspects of facility usage are encompassed in the “Rental Operations Manual” available upon request from the booking department.
COMPLIANCE WITH REGULATIONS, ORDANCES, LAWS AND RELEVANT STATUTES
The execution of an agreement for facility usage with the Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center further requires full compliance with all existing regulations, laws, ordinances, and statutes regarding the operation of the facility, its governing authority, Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government, and all pertinent safety and fiscal procedures. These rules and regulations also pertain to permits and licenses required, taxes owed, liability incurred, certain flammable, pyrotechnic, confetti cannons, or dangerous materials, and/or activities.
NOTICE
The privilege, right, organization of control or preeminence of authority not herewith defined or clearly expressed in the lease agreement, rental rates document, or Rental Operations Manual shall remain in the province of the Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center and its governing authority, Terrebonne Parish Consolidated Government.
ADDITIONAL SERVICES
In addition, the Barry P. Bonvillain Civic Center can provide at pre-agreed costs and/or fees, the following services:
- Extended Box Office Service
- Special Catering Requirements
- Advertising and promotional assistance, media buying, specific promotional and advertising projects.
- Specialized group and event ticket sales assistance
- Specialized production assistance, including lighting, staging, sound amplification and event direction.
